OK, just when I think I can't love Tim Gunn more than I already do, it appears that he was a finalist in this week's New Yorker caption contest! It must be him, right? How many Timothy Gunns submitting clever caption ideas can there be in New York City?

I just watched a marathon session of the first season of Gossip Girl and am troubled by how the dad is a washed-up Gen-Xer guy who apparently had some records go platinum in the 1990s. Does that make him old enough to have teenage kids? In my brain, people who are parents of teenagers came of age in the 70s...or maybe the 80s. But not the 1990s. This just doesn't sit right with me.
